Re: CAN WE GET RESPOND PLEASE

It seems that our many emails to KPLC is, hopefully, having an effect on their attitudes and services because somebody called 'Missy' from Kenya Power called me yesterday afternoon - 0711-031078.

This number, she claimed, is an official number of Kenya Power, NAIROBI, not her personal one.

She apologized profusely for all the mess and damage that KPLC is causing us and promised to contact their Mombasa office regarding our numerous complaints and deal with them, too, Insha'Allah.

So, this is the latest update regarding Kenya Power. Let's see if there is an improvement as a consequence.....

Salaams,

'Morning!

As I have posted my sentiments on Facebook and Twitter with hashtags to KPLC and twitterbigstick, I am hoping that this impervious power company gets the message that the people of Mombasa County are very FED UP of their so-called 'services' and if they are not careful might have various lawsuits to answer to, too.

And imagine if somebody is on pre-paid regarding their power. It looks like a win-win set-up ONLY for this disgusting company, NOT for the consumers, at all! They get their money - in advance - for the consumption but, they cannot be held responsible for the damage that their on/off supply does to our equipment and our health via food poisoning, falling and getting hurt in the sudden darkness during the night, etc.

In more 'civilized' and accountable countries of the world, such 'services' are not tolerated and hence the very reliable service given in return to the consumers.

So, I suggest to Mombasa Country residents that they refuse collectively to be connected to a pre-paid line ......., till such a time that this thuggish power company becomes more customer friendly and reliable, too.

They should become open and transparent in their dealings with the public, too.

Dear All ,
We have been receiving allot of complains from our areas that they are having allot of problems  these days and they don't know what to do . This is one of them down :
We are managing a building near Allidina School and because of KPLC frequent power on and off all the meters got burnt including some wires. In fact there was a fire but was put out on time by the Fire Brigade. So they need to know will KPLC pay for the damage???
I have attached a file of the Interruptions of Electricity Supply , cause their some areas within Mombasa County notice which shows their was no any notice if not wrong just for your reference .
