Verdict of Science: Islam, Christianity or Atheism?
Epigraph: "Will they not, then, meditate upon the Qur'an? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many contradictions." (Al Quran 4:83)

Alislam-eGazette published a landmark volume in November of 2012, examining Islam, Christianity and atheism in the light of science.  Click on the picture above to read the volume.

By way of introduction, I want to collect a few quotes from the scriptures and different  authorities in science and religion, about the subject here.
"Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things; Who has created death and life that He might try you — which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving.  Who has created seven heavens in harmony. No incongruity canst thou see in the creation of the Gracious God. Then look again: Seest thou any flaw?  Aye, look again, and yet again, thy sight will only return unto thee confused and fatigued." (Al Quran 67:2-5)
In the Book of Genesis, vegetation is produced before the creation of sun: "Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.' And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.  And God said, 'Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.' And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day." (Genesis 1: 11-19)
In the Book of Genesis, labor pain did not come through mammalian evolution, but as a result of the original sin: "To the woman he (God) said, 'I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.  Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.'"  (Genesis 3:16)
"The God of Islam is the same God Who is visible in the reflection of the laws of nature and is discernible in the book of nature. Islam has not presented a new God but has presented the same God Who is presented by the light of man's heart, by the conscience of man, and by heaven and earth." The Messiah: Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, in Majmu'a Ishtiharat, Vol. II, pp. 310-311.
"Scientist's religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection. This feeling is the guiding principle of his life and work." Albert Einstein
"The impossibility of conceiving that this grand and wondrous universe, with our conscious selves, arose through chance, seems to me the chief argument for the existence of God."  Sir Charles Darwin
"Science is … a powerful way, indeed – to study the natural world. Science is not particularly effective … in making commentary about the supernatural world. Both worlds, for me, are quite real and quite important. They are investigated in different ways. They coexist. They illuminate each other." Francis Collins, American physician-geneticist and director of the National Human Genome Research Institute.
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."  Sir Charles Darwin, On the Origin of Species in 1869 Edition.
"It is indeed remarkable that this theory (theory of evolution) has been progressively accepted by researchers, following a series of discoveries in various fields of knowledge. The convergence, neither sought nor fabricated, of the results of work that was conducted independently is in itself a significant argument in favor of this theory."  Pope John Paul II.
